BAWL 2020 Anthology
What to Submit:
An unpublished and edited short story, essay, flash fiction or 3 poems with the theme of Anticipation or which has the word (any tense of anticipate) somewhere in the work. An author may submit more than one story or set of three poems but each must be by separate submission with separate payment. No genre restrictions. No explicit sexual or violent content please.
Each submitter will receive editing advice, one downloadable copy of the Anticipation Anthology and may purchase printed copies at our cost plus $2.00 and shipping rate. (Exact amount will depend on the total number of submissions and the length and size of the printed book.)
Submission entitles the Bay Area Writer’s League, Inc. (501c-3) to first-time publication rights via the internet and in print. All Submissions accepted will require a signed writer’s contract.
All submissions will be edited. Authors will work with the editor assigned to them and give permission for any changes.
Length: no more than 3500 words for short fiction or essays, 1000 words for flash fiction and 48 lines per poem.

Only Word documents will be accepted. One (1) inch margins all around, double-spaced, Times New Roman (12-pt font) Header required with title and page number. Do not include author’s name in header. Page Numbers (at the bottom or with header)
