Hello, Writers!
First - let me share an issue we discovered this morning with the Zoom meeting link. Not sure what is happening but the problem is not with Zoom. If the link fails for you (Resource Not Found) here is how you can join the Zoom meeting:
- Open the Zoom app (on your phone, laptop, PC).
- Click Join.
- In the "Meeting ID or personal link name" enter: 87293345121. Below that, fill in your name if it's not already there. Then click Join.
- Use this (you can copy and paste) as the Meeting passcode: RGFxVjA4Mkd2Z0FCY2J6b09EUSswdz09
That will enter you into our Zoom call. Apologies for any inconvenience!
Okay, now to the good stuff.
It has been a while since we had an announcement. Today, I'm happy to announce that Becky Ellisor has published a book of her poetry. This long-awaited treasury of thought-provoking wordplay is a must-read for poetry lovers. Here is a link to her book on Amazon. Congratulations to Becky for a major milestone in her writer's journey.
Tomorrow, November 15th, is the Local Author Spotlight at the Freeman Branch Library. An email informing you of this event was sent on October 15th, 2024. It is too late to attend as a presenting author, but you are welcome to visit this free event to network, meet authors, and give your support. Each participant will have up to ten minutes to speak about themselves, their work, and anything else they'd like to share. Once everyone has spoken, it is basically an open house where people can come and go and mingle/network. Their will be lunch and beverages provided by the Friends of Freeman. The event will run from 1:30pm - 3:30pm in the 1st floor Children's Activity Space. Our very own Becky Ellisor is one of the participants. It's a work day, but hopefully you can come out and show your support.
