    These meetings are planned for the last Wednesday of the month from 6:30 to 7:30pm at Friendswood Public Library Community Room. When you walk into the library, take an immediate left, and it's right there.

    How to Write a Killer Bio*

    Presented by Dian Stirn Groh

    Wednesday, August 15, 2025

    7:00 pm CDT via Zoom

    ~~~
    Dian was an international flight attendant for seventeen years, and became a mother of twins, a teacher, tutor, author, and artist. Those endeavors led her to write articles to help and educate others in similar situations and with similar interests. She is a facilitator and coach who loves researching and passing on what experts have taught her.
    Dian’s first publication was the article “Tips for Traveling with Twins” in Mother of Twins Magazine, produced by the National Organization of Mothers of Twins (now NOMOMS) in 1987. Primarily a nonfiction writer, she is currently writing a historical fiction novel based on a true aviation incident.
    About BAWL Write-In Events
    Our 2025 Write-in events are a set time to write with other writers; Every Monday and Wednesday morning plus the 3rd Saturday of each month.
    A write-in can break writer's block, build confidence, inspire that creature in your brain that has to write and has fallen out of the habit, help you share your thoughts with people who have been there, or a write-in will call out your muse if she is hidden or lost. Write-ins can help stalled writers.
    This is why Write-ins have been a part of the Bay Area Writers League for many years. It keeps you trying, even if it is the only time you write. Life often gets in the way of creativity, no matter the field you want to work in. Visual artists often paint or draw together: to learn from each other and be inspired to continue practicing their craft. At a write-in, writers do the same.
    This is an online meeting. Once you register you'll receive a Zoom link in a conformation email. Simply click that link to join the meeting.
