Bay Area Writers League, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving writers in the Houston/Clear Lake/Galveston Bay area in southeast Houston, Texas near the Johnson Space Center.
We are an over thirty year old organization dedicated to helping writers of all genres and abilities enhance their skills, network with others, and succeed in following their dreams as authors. We have members who write memoirs, historical fiction, poetry, personal essays, literary fiction, sci-fi/fantasy, non-fiction, romance…the list goes on. All are welcome.
Our goal is to join with and aid writers seeking to strengthen their skill set, either with the craft itself, or with the business of writing, or both. We welcome all writers from all walks and styles. All we ask is that you bring your desire to write, a kind heart, and a willingness to a have a good time learning and sharing with others as careers blossom and grow. We enjoy spending time with other writers who like to work together, to make good things happen.
