Hello, Writers,
On the BAWL website, there are multiple resource pages with links to various sources of help for writers and publishers. As a reminder, here are a few:
Reedsy - Established in 2014, Reedsy offers tools, education, and human resources to help writers and publishers. Sign up on their website and for their newsletter to receive emails like this one about Generative Search for Books to help your marketing efforts.
Writing Mastery Academy - This is the website for the author who wrote Save the Cat! You can subscribe to the Weekly W.R.I.T.E.R. here.
Kindlepreneur - Dave Chesson's site teaches people how to self-publish a book and sell more copies online. Their mailing list/newsletter can be very informative. Most of their content is free. Book Marketing 101, for example.
Authors Publish - Every newsletter they distribute includes information for writers on contests, publishers seeking stories, and manuscripts and poems. There is all sorts of helpful information on the site. Check it out. Here is the link to one from last week: https://authorspublish.com/32-themed-submission-calls-and-contests-for-november-2025/
These four just scratch the surface of what is available to help you on your writer's journey. If you have suggestions for the Resources pages, please send them to editorBAWL@gmail.com
Becky Ellisor has provided another installment of On Writing, which is the November Feature for members.
As another reminder, there will be no in-person end-of-the-month BAWL meetings in November or December.
The 2025 BAWL Anthology will be out in December. Kate Sanger, the anthology Editor and President of BAWL, will announce the date as well as a December get-together and signing soon.
Happy Writing!
- Kelley
