BAWL & Friends Newsletter

February 2024 Edition

Hello, Writers!

It was sad we had to cancel our first in-person meeting since COVID-19 but safety during unpredictable weather is the priority. Mr. Anthony Hughes, the speaker scheduled for Jan 24, has been rescheduled to April.

The in-person meeting for February is scheduled and will take place at the Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch Library on Feb. 28, 2024 from 6 to 7pm cst. The speaker will be Alexander Li. Read more about him and the other speakers that Debi has planned for us: here.

Now that in-person meeting have resumed there is growing interest in in-person meetings for other purposes. One topic being discussed is electing new board members for BAWL. Are you interested in being more involved? You are welcomed to do so and in a variety of ways: join a write-in, come to an in-person event, post in the forums, or become a league board member. Questions? Reply to this newsletter. Remember, volunteers keep BAWL alive.

We have to columns from Becky this month. Her tips from an editor and also the Feature for February which is all about the BAWL board elections.

Apologies this newsletter is a day late. Yesterday got away from me. By the time the next newsletter is sent the coolest of the winter weather will be behind us. Stay warm and keep writing!
